Ako in\u00e1\u010d porozumeli by sme mnoh\u00e9mu, keby sme mali toto v\u0161etko spracovan\u00e9, mnoh\u00e9 p\u00edsomn\u00e9 pam\u00e4tnosti na svetlo vynesen\u00e9, nejedna ot\u00e1zka by sa n\u00e1m objasnila. Takto v\u0161ak ve\u013ek\u00fd kus n\u00e1\u0161ho n\u00e1rodn\u00e9ho \u017eivota pr\u00edde v zapomenutie.\u00ab<\/p>\n<p>A to je pravda.<\/p>\n<p>400-ro\u010dn\u00e1 pamiatka reform\u00e1cie, ktor\u00fa, d\u00e1 li Boh, sv\u00e4ti\u0165 budeme 31. okt\u00f3bra toho roku, spr\u00edtomn\u00ed n\u00e1m d\u00e1vne za\u0161l\u00e9 \u010dasy XVI. a XVII. stoletia. Vyvedie na povrch hrdinov za vieru a\u00a0presved\u010denie bojovav\u0161\u00edch, mu\u017eov neohro\u017een\u00e9ho slova a\u00a0r\u00e1zneho \u010dinu. N\u00e1s sam\u00fdch v\u0161ak naklon\u00ed ucti\u0165 si pamiatku otcov, nie aby sme sa azda nen\u00e1videli, nie aby sme nov\u00e9 n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9 trenice napom\u00e1hali, ani aby sme v mene Toho Ukri\u017eovan\u00e9ho nov\u00fa 30-ro\u010dn\u00fa vojnu zapo\u010d\u00ednali, oj, nie! \u2014 ve\u010f t\u00fdch trenie a vojen dos\u0165 i tak dnes a sami vid\u00edme, \u017ee to v\u0161etko nevedie k cie\u013eu, \u2014 ale aby sme sa vz\u00e1jomne porozumeli, ka\u017ed\u00ed sa dr\u017eali svojich princ\u00edpov a ka\u017ed\u00ed d\u013ea svojho najlep\u0161ieho presved\u010denia r\u00f4znymi cestami, ale <em>v\u00f4\u013eou stejnou <\/em>pracovali nielen na materi\u00e1lnom, ale i na du\u0161evnom pozdvihnut\u00ed n\u00e1\u0161ho \u013eudu.<\/p>\n<p>Nehovor\u00edm tu o nijakom pojednan\u00ed, lebo poklad\u00e1m za ve\u013emi trefn\u00e9 poznamenanie m\u00f4jho b\u00fdval\u00e9ho teol. akad. professora, ktor\u00fd raz bol povedal: \u00bbKoal\u00edcia je len tam mo\u017en\u00e1, kde alebo ka\u017ed\u00fd klame druh\u00e9ho, alebo ani jeden never\u00ed v to, \u010do hl\u00e1sa!\u00ab Dr\u017eme sa tedy ka\u017ed\u00fd svojho, ale nestavajme sa na stanovisko neomylnosti ani jeden, oce\u0148me len ozaj produkt\u00edvnu pr\u00e1cu jeden druh\u00e9ho, na pr\u00e1zdne slov\u00e1 nedaj\u00fac ni\u010d. Tak dobrou v\u00f4\u013eou a pr\u00e1cechtivos\u0165ou mnoho m\u00f4\u017eme nahradi\u0165, i \u010do dosia\u013e zame\u0161kan\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>\u010casy prenasledovania za vieru pre\u0161ly, sama reform\u00e1cia dok\u00e1zala, \u017ee kult\u00fara a viera ned\u00e1 sa zbra\u0148ou ani zamedzova\u0165, ale ani roz\u0161irova\u0165. Ak na niektorom, tak na tomto poli nem\u00e1 smyslu n\u00e1silenstvo, lebo tu zbroj ducha v\u00ed\u0165az\u00ed. D\u00e1 Boh, \u017ee i \u010dasy politick\u00e9ho prenasledovania prejd\u00fa; mo\u017eno, \u017ee pr\u00e1ve t\u00e1to vojna dopom\u00f4\u017ee k tomu, lebo kde ide o prirodzen\u00e9 pr\u00e1va \u010dloveka, o jazyk (re\u010d) a vieru (n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9 presved\u010denie) a o\u00a0zamedzovanie t\u00fdchto pr\u00e1v, alebo prek\u00e1\u017eanie \u010do i\u00a0najmen\u0161iemu n\u00e1rodu v \u017eit\u00ed, tam n\u00e1siln\u00edk n\u00e1jde sa oproti cel\u00e9mu \u010dlove\u010denstvu. Lebo je to vec cel\u00e9ho, \u010dlove\u010denstva, vec v\u0161en\u00e1rodn\u00e1, za ktor\u00fa hotov\u00e9 s\u00fa milliony boj nast\u00fapi\u0165, tis\u00edce a tis\u00edce \u017eivot svoj polo\u017ei\u0165, k\u00fdma zaslepen\u00fdm o\u010di otvoria a div\u00fa predpojatos\u0165 podar\u00ed zlomi\u0165.<\/p>\n<p>Ale som u\u017e odbo\u010dil trochu. P\u00f4vodne chcel som osta\u0165 na poli cirkevnom, preto i navraciam sa ta. S pripomenut\u00edm 400-ro\u010dnej pamiatky reform\u00e1cie dochod\u00ed n\u00e1m vh\u013abi\u0165 sa do dej\u00edn minulosti, \u2014 a\u00a0na poli cirkevno-historick\u00fdch pam\u00e4tnost\u00ed stret\u00e1me sa evanjelici s katol\u00edkmi jednak, \u2014 rovnako neobroben\u00e9 pole cirkevnej hist\u00f3rie pob\u00e1da\u0165 n\u00e1s m\u00e1 k nov\u0161\u00edm prekut\u00e1vaniam, v\u00fdskumom, ve\u010f ani nevieme, kde z ak\u00e9ho chatrn\u00e9ho l\u00edstku \u010do v\u0161etko sa dozvieme. Ned\u00e1vno \u0161iel som k m\u00f4jmu susedovi, k r. katol. far\u00e1rovi na \u0160\u00e1p, a pop\u00fdtal som ho, aby bol tak dobr\u00fd, dovolil mi nazrie\u0165 do arch\u00edvu jeho cirkvi, ako i matr\u00edk a protokollov, ke\u010f\u017ee je moja dedina i dnes jeho f\u00edliou. Ak by som, reku, tam na\u0161iel nie\u010do cenn\u00e9ho pre hist\u00f3riu mojej cirkvi, ktor\u00fa teraz sostavujem. A tu, h\u013ea \u2014 zvl\u00e1\u0161tna n\u00e1hoda \u2014 na\u0161iel som neve\u013ek\u00fd papierik, o\u017elknut\u00fd, zapr\u00e1\u0161en\u00fd, trochu z kraja i op\u00e1len\u00fd, p\u00edsan\u00fd latinsky, s nadpisom: \u00bbBrevis memoria possessions Legendt\u00ab, kde medziin\u00fdm na\u0161iel som nasledovn\u00e9 historicky cenn\u00e9 a i pre n\u00e1s tu bydliacich Slov\u00e1kov \u010faleko v\u00fdznamn\u00e9 informuj\u00face v\u00fdvody. Leg\u00e9nd vraj ob\u00fdvali pred r. 1594 Srbi, a dedina rozprestierala sa a\u017e dolu, popod teraz u\u017e dobre ni\u017ee dediny stojaci katol\u00edcky kostol. Len \u010dast\u00e9 vp\u00e1dy Turkov a povodne, ktor\u00e9 husto znepokojovaly kraj, prin\u00fatily obyvate\u013eov k tomu, aby sa s\u0165ahovali horevy\u0161\u0161ie, na trochu vyv\u00fd\u0161enej\u0161ie miesta. Dnes e\u0161te stojaci katol\u00edcky chr\u00e1m bez ve\u017ee bol tie\u017e vlastne z rumov starobyl\u00e9ho pravosl\u00e1vneho srbsk\u00e9ho chr\u00e1mu postaven\u00fd, ke\u010f v tom\u017ee roku Turci dedinu oh\u0148om vyp\u00e1lili a v\u00e4\u010d\u0161iu \u010das\u0165 srbsk\u00e9ho obyvate\u013estva so sebou do zajatia vzali a ke\u010f na majetnosti pravosl\u00e1vnej cirkvi polo\u017eila ruku r\u00edmsko-katol\u00edcka cirkev. D\u013ea \u00fastneho podania a zachovan\u00fdch trad\u00edci\u00ed medzi \u013eudom i\u00a0meno dedina mala in\u00e9, d\u013ea jedn\u00fdch <em>\u201eNivet\u00edn&#8220; <\/em>\u2014 d\u013ea in\u00fdch \u00bbNeveb\u00edn\u00ab, \u010do asi potvrdzuje i\u00a0spom\u00ednan\u00fd sp\u00edsok, ke\u010f na inom mieste zasa hovor\u00ed, \u017ee po odchode Srbov pri\u0161li sem Ma\u010fari, kalv\u00edni, so zemianskou fam\u00edliou Leg\u00e9ndy, od ktorej potom i\u00a0nov\u00e1 obec meno dostala. Roku 1645 ho z\u00fariv\u0161\u00ed pestis v\u0161ak tak preriedil tu bydliv\u0161\u00edch Ma\u010farov kalv\u00ednov, \u017ee panstvo bolo prin\u00faten\u00e9 doda\u0165 z horn\u00fdch str\u00e1n Novohradu, i Hontu, i bl\u00edzkeho Zvolena Slov\u00e1kov evanjelikov: odkia\u013e men\u00e1 Such\u00e1nsky (zo Such\u00e1\u0148a z Hontu), Detv\u00e4n (z Detvy zo Zvolena), Strh\u00e1rsky, Lom\u00e4n, Le\u0161\u0165an, Oravec at\u010f.<\/p>\n<p>\u010co tedy z tohoto m\u00f4\u017eme s\u00fadi\u0165? To, \u017ee mnoh\u00e9 dnes ma\u010farsky znej\u00face men\u00e1 dolno-novohradsk\u00fdch obc\u00ed, ako Ag\u00e1rd, Leg\u00e9nd, Guta, K\u00f6vesd, e\u0161te z\u00a0t\u00fdch \u010dasov pozostaly, ke\u010f po vypusto\u0161en\u00ed srbsk\u00e9ho obyvate\u013estva, rozlo\u017eiv\u0161ieho sa a\u017e po Nov-grod, Nov\u00fd hrad, Novohrad (rozumej meste\u010dko, dedinu Novohrad, ktor\u00e9 bolo predt\u00fdm po\u013en\u00e9 meste\u010dko so z\u00e1mkom a ktor\u00e9 a\u017e podnes jestvuje, pravda z\u00a0hradu u\u017e len rumy vidno) o\u013eudnaten\u00e9 boly tieto kraje Ma\u010farmi. \u010co asi mohlo by\u0165 v druhej polovici XVII. stoletia, ke\u010f u\u017e Turci prest\u00e1vali tu nepokoje robi\u0165. Ke\u010f v\u0161ak s ustupovan\u00edm Turka i Ma\u010fari mohli a pod\u00e1va\u0165 dolu \u010falej k rovin\u00e1m Dolnej zeme a mnoh\u00e9 dediny tunaj\u0161ie ostaly takmer pr\u00e1zdne, pris\u0165ahovala sa sem katol\u00edcka i evanjelick\u00e1 Slova\u010d \u2014 a tak rozl\u00fa\u0161ten\u00e1 dosial z\u00e1hadn\u00e1 ot\u00e1zka, pre\u010do dolno-novohradsk\u00e9, i dnes v preva\u017enej v\u00e4\u010d\u0161ine Slov\u00e1kmi ob\u00fdvan\u00e9 dediny maj\u00fa ma\u010farsk\u00e9 men\u00e1. Men\u00e1 ostaly z \u010dasov ma\u010farskej koloniz\u00e1cie, obyvate\u013estvo je v\u0161ak nov\u0161ie, pozdej\u0161ie z horn\u00fdch str\u00e1n sa dos\u0165ahovav\u0161ie a preto slovensk\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Tak vid\u00edme, \u017ee mnoho r\u00e1z mali\u010dkosti, zdanliv\u00e9 nepatrn\u00e9, odhoden\u00e9 listiny d\u00e1vaj\u00fa mo\u017enos\u0165 nazrie\u0165 do hlboko siahaj\u00facich v\u00fdznamn\u00fdch historick\u00fdch ot\u00e1zok, ktor\u00e9 i n\u00e1s Slov\u00e1kov zauj\u00edmaj\u00fa, lebo dopl\u0148uj\u00fa dejiny sam\u00fdch n\u00e1s. Ja s\u00e1m umienil som si toho leta ponav\u0161tevova\u0165 v\u0161etky cirkve novohradsk\u00e9ho senior\u00e1tu, prekuta\u0165 v\u0161etky arch\u00edvy farnost\u00ed, prezrie\u0165 stoli\u010dn\u00fa kni\u017enicu v \u010earmot\u00e1ch, senior\u00e1lnu v Lu\u010denci, \u2014 mo\u017eno, \u017ee sa mi podar\u00ed e\u0161te n\u00e1js\u0165 podobn\u00e9 nie\u010do, \u010do neobme\u0161k\u00e1m potom tie\u017e verejnosti poda\u0165.<\/p>\n<p>Dejepisectvo na\u0161e cirkevn\u00e9 slovensk\u00e9, i katol\u00edcke, i evanjelick\u00e9, je e\u0161te ve\u013emi chudobn\u00e9, kde\u017eto hist\u00f3ria cirkevn\u00e1 m\u00e1 bohat\u00e9 pole a\u00a0v\u010fa\u010dn\u00e9 temat\u00e1. U n\u00e1s u evanjelikov okrem Paul\u00ednyho Dejepisu superintendencie nitrianskej v IV. sv\u00e4zkoch \u2014 ani nepozn\u00e1m v\u00e4\u010d\u0161ieho diela. Je pravda, \u017ee nem\u00e1 n\u00e1m kto vyd\u00e1va\u0165 tak\u00e9to objemnej\u0161ie diela, ale zato i men\u0161ie toho smeru pr\u00e1ce, povedzme monografie jednotliv\u00fdch senior\u00e1tov s opisom ded\u00edn, po\u0165a\u017ene cirkv\u00ed, boly by slovenskej verejnosti v\u00edtan\u00e9. A men\u0161ie diela, viem iste, vyd\u00e1 i n\u00e1\u0161 spolok Tranovsk\u00fd.<\/p>\n<p>\u0160tyristoro\u010dn\u00e1 pamiatka reform\u00e1cie mala by n\u00e1s pr\u00e1ve k tomu pob\u00e1da\u0165, aby sme h\u013eadeli takto spam\u00e4tni\u0165 si d\u00e1vne, za\u0161l\u00e9 \u010dasy. Ve\u010f malo by sa i tu \u010do objasni\u0165 a opisom jednotliv\u00fdch senior\u00e1tov op\u00edsan\u00e9 by boly jednotliv\u00e9 kraje, zvyky, oby\u010daje, s\u00e1m \u013eud, a to by bolo nekone\u010dne cenn\u00e9 pre n\u00e1s, najm\u00e4 z krajov, ktor\u00e9 prechodia u\u017e do cudz\u00edch r\u00fak (ako Novohrad, Malohont, Gemer), ktor\u00e9 v\u0161ak predt\u00fdm boly \u010disto slovensk\u00e9 a v nejednej fare \u00faradoval vynikaj\u00faci mu\u017e-n\u00e1rodovec. Takto by sme iste v inom na\u0161li v\u00fdznam reform\u00e1cie, ne\u017e ako p. in\u0161pektor Okolics\u00e1nyi (vi\u010f obe\u017en\u00edk, uverejnen\u00fd v 21. \u010d. N. N.).
